i shouldn’t have stopped for that haircut, sorry (simpsons)

i sheared my head with my own clippers. cut it to 1/2 inch so its pretty short. but it saved me $13. haircuts are such a rip. did that on wednesday. then on thursday i turned in an appl. and resume to gold bank here in olathe. i have an interview monday at 10am. looks pretty promising. i'm open for either teller or personal banker work, full or part time. anything i can get! i hate interviews though, hopefully i won't screw this up because it is supposedly a sure thing for me to get this job. we'll see.

and just as i figured…

Filed under: Royals, School — Andy @ 9:28 pm

i attend my classes today and my cases course, the one that kstate switched my professor in, was everything i hoped it wouldn't be. Long story short, I really won't be able to be in manhattan often enough to be of any use to my group for all the cases that have to be done. So, i'm dropping my classes. I will re-enroll in the spring with the professor I originally wanted to go back for. He does not require nearly as much group work so I won't have to drive to manhattan and back as often.
So now I have to get a haircut and get a job. Which I will start doing tomorrow. Awesome.
Oh, and to make matters worse, the royals did win over the weekend. now nobody will care about them the rest of the season.

get your tickets now!

Filed under: Royals — Andy @ 12:43 am

well i guess its been a week since my last royals update and yes, they still haven't won. This is getting to be very exciting. Because they have now lost 18 straight games, the royals now have a great shot of beating the all time consecutive loss streak of 23. Looking at the schedule, this is imminently doable. They play at oakland over the weekend then come home to play boston. The boston home series comes at a very fortuitous time. The tuesday game would set a new American league loss streak with 22. The wednesday game would tie the all time record, and of course thursday would officially set a new record. How awesome would that be to witness? I best order my tickets now, they could go fast. Best part is the royals travel to new york after that boston series so that way the royals could really put this record out of reach for the next team. And they said baseball in kansas city ended when chiefs camp began…shows them!

all settled in

Filed under: General Update — Andy @ 1:08 pm

well after a few weeks of sleeping on a couch bed and living out of boxes, i am now completely moved in to my parents basement. The basement is complete, save a few minor things, and it really is a job well done. It took about 2 1/2 months but my dad and i and a host of others finished an entire ranch style house basement. Pretty proud of ourselves we are.
I am officially sans a job. next week will be a week of enjoyment. gonna hit up the zoo and oceans of fun as well as take a weekend jaunt to oklahoma to visit my cousin. Should fit in plenty of golf too. Then its off to K-State!

major suckage

Filed under: Royals — Andy @ 9:45 am

the royals are shooting for their 13th straight loss tonight which would be a new team record. Although I am confident this will take place, it would all be so much more enjoyable if the team were on pace for the all time record for losses in a season. currently they are only on pace to lose between 107 and 108 games. I believe to set a new record they would need to lose 120. So, to get back on pace the royals need to lose 33 more games in a row. um, probably won't happen. It takes a real effort to lose that many.
