just finished reading: The Davinci Hoax
2 weeks since graduation and i've mostly just been playing a lot of poker, biking, sleeping, seeing some movies, bowling, and reading. In the midst of that I did manage to enroll in Train Conductor school at Jccc. I've been accepted, the final paperwork is on its way to me. School starts in 4 weeks-its an 8am-3pm M-F class for 6 weeks.
Bowling Average Update-145.6 (overall-329 games) 159.6 (last 100 games)
Been bowling really well lately, usually well over 160. Didn't end up joining a league this summer, but perhaps in the fall.
K, thats it, I'll probably update again before I head to Seattle on Sunday!

how to manage

just finished my last case for my business strategy class and we were reading about the CEO who turned Continental airlines around in the 90s. Here's his philosophy on managing which I completely agree with:
"Your real job as boss–my real job as chief executive–is to let people do their jobs. It's to assemble the right team, set the big-picture direction, communicate that, and then get out of the way…You have to trust people to do their jobs. That's the strongest leadership there is." –Gordon Bethune, CEO Continental Airlines
