thats 4 more weeks till i start working for like, the rest of my life. kinda hits you where you hurts when you think about it. but i’m excited and i’m getting bored waiting. i haven’t worked in over 9 months and i haven’t done anything productive in about 2 months. well, aside from actually getting the job.
things i have been doing all mostly center around football. a typical weekday involves getting up around 1pm, turning on the radio to listen to sports, and reading about football online. this includes kstate football, fantasy football, and betting on football. in the evening i’ll usually watch a football game, there is typically a game on every night in college at least.
my saturday is usually attending a kstate football game or spending the entire day watching all the college games so i can see how i did on my bets. (for the record i am currently 61-45-5 +17.995 units)
my sunday is centered around watching the nfl so i can see how my fantasy team is doing. i am off to probably my best start ever at 3-1 and leading my league in points. having mcnabb and larry johnson help.
occasionally i also play my college football game on gamecube. and i also manage to go bowling or biking too. also watch some dvd’s when i get bored.
thats my life the past month or so. its a great single life
.
car buying update: i have secured the funds for the car, and it should be built sometime this week. only 2 weeks left till i own it!!

last week when i was signing up with my 4th car insurance company in the last 2 years, i started thinking about all the companies i’d never do business with again.
1. Southwestern Bell (they still owe me $50, i dont care if AT&T bought them out)
2. Geico (totally botched my claim this summer)
3. Country Companies Ins. (screwed me out of any $ when my car was stolen)
4. Tires Plus (they lost in their computer the fact i bought a lifetime balance/rotation for my tires)
5. Firestone (i’ll never forget when they tried to charge a friend of mine $30 to install a freaking car battery-a service most do for free)
6. Valvoline Quick-Lube (they installed the wrong oil filter on one of my cars)
7. Discover Card (they falsely advertise 1% cash back when it is not a true 1%)
if i think of any more i’ll add them.
in other news i should have my new car in the next 3 days. i start my job in 2 weeks, but i’m a little worried because i haven’t gotten my new hire packet in the mail yet. in fact, i haven’t heard a thing from union pacific since i was hired. but they told me all is well if i hear nothing. so i’ll continue to wait.
Was in Manhattan this past weekend for “Madness in Manhattan”. K-State kicked off their basketball season with a lazer show, a dunk contest, and a scrimmage. They also unveiled new unis which look tight. Here’s what they look like:
first game in 3 weeks, pretty excited for that. i do have season tickets, although with the new job i dont know how many i’ll make it to.
