currently watching: South Park Season 8 ![]()
last week when i was signing up with my 4th car insurance company in the last 2 years, i started thinking about all the companies i’d never do business with again.
1. Southwestern Bell (they still owe me $50, i dont care if AT&T bought them out)
2. Geico (totally botched my claim this summer)
3. Country Companies Ins. (screwed me out of any $ when my car was stolen)
4. Tires Plus (they lost in their computer the fact i bought a lifetime balance/rotation for my tires)
5. Firestone (i’ll never forget when they tried to charge a friend of mine $30 to install a freaking car battery-a service most do for free)
6. Valvoline Quick-Lube (they installed the wrong oil filter on one of my cars)
7. Discover Card (they falsely advertise 1% cash back when it is not a true 1%)
if i think of any more i’ll add them.
in other news i should have my new car in the next 3 days. i start my job in 2 weeks, but i’m a little worried because i haven’t gotten my new hire packet in the mail yet. in fact, i haven’t heard a thing from union pacific since i was hired. but they told me all is well if i hear nothing. so i’ll continue to wait.
Was in Manhattan this past weekend for “Madness in Manhattan”. K-State kicked off their basketball season with a lazer show, a dunk contest, and a scrimmage. They also unveiled new unis which look tight. Here’s what they look like:

first game in 3 weeks, pretty excited for that. i do have season tickets, although with the new job i dont know how many i’ll make it to.
you should switch to CITI card. They offer 5% on gas, groceries, & pharmacy and all others 1%. I’ve calculated it. We use it just for gas & groceries and get at least a $50 check every 2 months or so.
