k well other good news going on…found a new church home in mid-town kansas city near wesport. Its called Jacob’s Well. i’ve been looking for a new church for at least 6 months since the pastor at my parent’s church retired. also, my parents church was just that…my parents church. Its where they were drawn when they were my age. Its where i grew up, but as an adult i haven’t felt at home. there wasn’t really a whole lot for people my age either.
so why this one? well, i’d guess the people who attend are at least 2-1 ages 20-35. the music is modern. the messages are biblically based but also very relevent to everyday life. It feels intiment, it feels like a community, it inspires me. I actually want to come and its hard to leave and I look forward to the next week. I want to get involved. I haven’t really felt that. So this is very exciting for me. Hopefully I can meet a lot of neat people there too.
i have never been to jacob’s well before, but miles away i have heard many good things about it.
hopefully you will post more about your experiences and thoughts as you attend there.
it’s good you’ve found a place to go to church.

Hey– I am excited to hear this! Its amazing what you feel once you feel like you belong in a church. You should join a small group.
