K, here’s what is going on.  I did apply for a full time auto parts delivery job with Napa auto parts.  I hope i get it-its in Kansas City, Ks and I think it would offer me the opportunity to move out and closer to downtown like i’ve been hoping to.  This would be a much better long term solution before the railroad calls back.

speaking of the railroad, they did call last friday and offered a couple of permanent transfers-one to desmoines, one to wichita/salina/harrington, and one to st. paul, mn.  permanent means i dont get to come back to kansas city.  there was also a temporary transfer offered-to st. paul.  wasn’t easy to turn down as st. paul is a decent place and the weather is nice during the summer and i could leave it at any time and still be in line for work in kc.  however, i live out of a hotel and basically do nothing but work and have no friends or family around.  had to pass-they wanted an answer right away anyway and i wasn’t prepared for that.

so now i just wait like i’ve been doing for a while.

other news, bowling league is starting out a little rocky, gotta keep at it.

i had a small setback with making jacob’s well church my home church-it involves the role of women in the church and i’m going to meet with a pastor of the church to get clarification on the matter.  i think it will end up ok.

i learned this week its pretty tough to be decent friends with people who not only have a lot of different interests and a few different beliefs, but are also a lot younger than you.  In fact, its probably nearly impossible.  which is too bad.  oh well.  life goes on, everyone we meet serves some purpose-and i like to think most are positive.

stuck

currently listening to: The Twilight Sad-14 Autumns and 15 Winters

k well i’m already annoyed with the capfed job.  most of it is ok, but occasionally i have to work in some locations that i dont like too much and it reminds me of why i left the banking world.  and makes me hope/wish the RR would call me back sooner than I would expect (still likely early next year).  also, amongst other things, it also makes me wish I was moving out too.  Everyday at home I feel like I should be out by now and uh its just less than ideal for all involved.

started a summer bowling league last sunday, things started well.  bowled a 155 avg for the 3 games which is about 10 less than i am hoping for but least it wasn’t a complete disaster like the last week or so had been on my own (barely breaking 150).  things are getting back on track (which for me is anything near 170).  This league allows for 15 free games a week outside of the league so I’ll have plenty of opportunities to improve for no extra cost.  haazah!

Being blessed by some great people

first thing, i have gone and removed some posts in my blog which I feel like no longer represent me.  This might be sacrilege to the blogosphere, but frankly i’m embarrased by some things I wrote in the past when I was blaming others and was not where I needed to be within myself when dealing with relationships with women, and also with God.  I feel like these past few months or so I’ve improved my attitude a lot.

My past negativity toward things like marriage, kids, and relational co-dependence came entirely from selfishness and a lack of self control.  While most of this past year I’ve tried to tackle fixing these things on my own and with occasional prayer, now I feel like God has put some truely amazing people in and around my life to help me realize what it takes to overcome things that were bringing me down as well as adjust how i deal with women in my life.
There are 2 people in particular who have helped me the most but I am hesitant to name them cause I don’t normally mention anyone by name in this blog cause i’m not sure people want to be mentioned here lol.
