Ready to move

All my stuff is just about boxed up and ready to go, about 2 weeks before i can move.  i guess i’m anxious to move but also i wanted to get as much done in the free time i had in case i am working a bunch these next few weeks.

I’m definitely ready to move though, every time i drive home from work i think about how i’d be home already at the point i pass my apt and then have to drive another 20 minutes to my parents place. 

My bowling league ended this week, my team finished in the middle of the pack.  Right now i’m not real sure i’ll continue with a league, its difficult for me to make it each week.  I might do a short season one that is on a weekday, i think i can make weekdays easier.

I am sorta liking the job i’m on now.  I basically work friday thru monday and have the rest off.  only thing thats hectic is the more random than usual call times.

I’m really excited for football.  My fantasy preparations are about done and my league will be drafting here in 2 weeks.  Also, K-State football starts in only 2 1/2 weeks!! 

Last week I went on a first date with Abbie.  We went to dinner then to a Royals game.  It was a lot of fun and went well.  I’m really happy I met her.

so in a little over a week i’ve been on 3 different jobs but i think maybe i have settled into one i can hold for a little bit.  its a reserve board for the kansas city to marysville trainmen.  basically, i get called when all the regular guys and the extra guys are used up.  ideally, i’ll only work like once a week lol.  but its extremely random and it doesnt pay quite as much as i was making before.  it will be close i think.  normally this is not an easy board to hold for a low man like me but hey whatever i’ll certainly take it.

i enjoy this marysville run just about as much as the jeff city run, if not moreso.  but i’ve only had one trip so far so a lot can go downhill quickly.  i’m just happy to be on a job i think i’ll like.  coffeyville would have been a disaster if i had to do that very long.

in other news i think i’ve decided i wont do a bowling league this fall.  its a combination of struggling to make it to league night each week and being frustrated with my inconsistent bowling.  i’d rather not have the pressure of a league.  that and i’m moving at the end of the month and i’ll likely be looking for a closer alley to bowl at.

as for anything else in my life, i’ll just say its all going pretty well.  i can’t complain.  in fact, i’m actually pretty thrilled with a few specific things.  things i dont usually like to post about cause i dont like to embarrass anyone.
