what i wrote in my first post about the KSU win was purposely written a bit over the top to get a rise out of some kansas fans and for my own entertainment and now i’m done with that and frankly i was surprised anyone responded to begin with.
i realize that while it was a good win and did show what KSU is capable of when they play well, they do have some work to do to be a conference winning team or a team that can go deep in the tournament. It was good to know that a lot of exciting things are possible if it continues to come together.
now back to my regular boring and much less frequent blogging.
BTW, in case those who are my friends/family didn’t know, i am now working south to coffeyville from kansas city because its all i can hold seniority wise. its not where i really want to work but its better than working outside in the railyard. And i guess its kinda fun to go through olathe…and jo i’ll be going through springhill too!
I liked this post. KSU does have a promising team, they are looking good, they are playing well together, and obviously their coach is doing lots of things right. I think it’s great the state of Kansas has two strong teams (both of which may end up in the Big 12 tourney and make it to the big dance.) I just wouldn’t rush to say they are better than any team yet, given that this is the first year in a long time they have played well. Most experts say give a coach and a program 5 years to really see if it is good or not. They still make mistakes and blow a lot of good opportunities. They were psyched to beat KU (they had a lot riding on it and good for them for breaking the streak…it’s something to be happy about for sure), but they need to play with that intensity, like you said, all 40 minutes with any team they face. I know KSU is a good team, I am not in denial just because I am a KU fan (trust me I am not an obnoxiously rude fan like some I know), and I look forward to the success of both teams. I definitely would cheer KSU on if KU weren’t in it. I just know KU has a great team, and Bill Self is a great coach (regardless of what you have previously stated you have to admit it). Yet, we makes mistakes all the same. Continue to be excited, continue to invest, and hopefully KSU will become one of the greats. It sure would make games between us a lot more exciting! Oh, and I love the new shirts they are selling about the win. They’re pretty darn funny.
I think it’s cool you are a train conductor. Choo Choo!

Who are all these geez AB you have quite the following. Oh, and the UK thing was really confusing. At first I thought it was a typo, but then you kept doing it. I didn’t really get it. Anyway.

haha, excellent stuff cuz! As a KU alum and your cousin, I gotta admit, I kinda enjoyed the jabbing. We need the KSU-KU rivalry to be revived, if nothing else to get a little somethin’ going between the Umscheids and the Bierys
. I guess I was the only one that got the “uk” stuff. I know your humor. Man you really hate “uk”
