last night was “super tuesday” and although i dont get to “caucus” until saturday for the Republicans i was still paying attention mostly because the whole Barack Hussein Obama/Billary race is fairly interesting to me. part of me is rooting for Barack because i think he’s more apt to lose a national election than Billary…although Billary is quite polarizing…either way they are really the same candidate except one is a woman and another is a black dude…liberalism will be alive and well with either one winning the nomination.
me though i’m lost as to what to do…i could throw my vote away and go with the guy who most closely matches my views in Ron Paul but thats tough to do cause he obv has no chance. So i guess i go with the next most conservative dude in Mitt. If McCain wins the nomination though i’ll still vote for him i guess (despite his spotty political record) because really i only care about 3 things:
1. Low taxes
2. Minimal government intrusion in my life
3. Strict Constructionist/Originalist judge selection
(how is anyone honestly against these things? it boggles my mind…)
everything else is fairly immaterial to me and i think just about any decent Republican person should include the above 3 things in their list of ideals, certainly over far lefties like Barack Hussein or Billary.
in other news i got my wii back from the repair shop last week and i’m finally going to finish the above listed game that i started last summer before i get another wii game…likely mario galaxy or metroid 3. it was so wierd having a nintendo system break on me…but whatever it was all under warranty and now i get another year warranty for the repairs.
I think somehow there might be a few decent people out there who believe there are other more important things than those three.

i’m not saying they are the end all be all and nothing else, i’m saying any decent person should include them in their harmony of ideals.

I agree with Abbie, but then again, as we both well know, the two of us are polar opposites when it comes to our political leanings.

you all dont want low taxes, less government intrusion, and judges who properly interpret the constitution? i guess you could always move to canada or sweden or wherever.

Yep, I want low taxes, minimal government intrusion, and judges who properly interpret the constitution. But, I also want to make sure innocent babies aren’t killed before they have the chance to live, marriages stay between a man and a woman, and the Christian ideals this country was founded on stay in tact. Wow…I’m pretty Republican.
But, like you I have no idea who to vote for. They all seem less than worthy of my vote, so I just don’t know. The republican side is weak, no doubt, but I definitely can’t bring myself to face a win by Barak Hussein or Billary. I would definitely move out of the U.S.
Ok, girly, political rant ends…NOW!

Proper judge selection covers all those things and more. basically it would allow states to decide those issues rather than a group of eleven unelected people.
most states will hopefully put forth anti-abortion laws and define marriage properly (a lot already have through DOMA laws and state amendments). but again, JUST PUT IT TO A PROPER VOTE!!!
